FortisCor Adjusters Pte Ltd was founded by a group of highly experienced professional Loss Adjusters united by their pioneering spirit, passion in their field of expertise while sharing a common goal to provide the highest level of Loss Adjusting services to the Singapore insurance market.
‘Fortis’ means ‘strong’ and ‘Cor’ means ‘heart’ or ‘courage’
In Latin, ‘Fortis’ means ‘strong’ and ‘Cor’ means ‘heart’ or ‘courage’. Our unique name was inspired by a biblical text in Joshua 1:1-9, wherein the LORD commissioned His chosen leader, Joshua, to be ‘strong and courageous’ in undertaking his quest. It is this conviction of moving forward with a clear and resolute focus, which is at the heart and ethos of FortisCor.

Thanga began his loss adjusting career in 1997, and about three years later, joined one of the largest international adjusting firms in Malaysia. Thanga was later promoted to head the operations in South Malaysia, where he was also heavily involved in managing catastrophe claims. In 2008, Thanga relocated to Singapore, to join Insight Adjusters & Surveyors Pte Ltd and was promoted to Director of the Property & Casualty Division. He was later elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer and in his capacity, was responsible for managing the Property & Casualty, Construction & Engineering and Third Party Administration divisions. Thanga has more than 24 years of experience in handling large and complex claims involving almost all classes of insurance across various countries in Asia. Thanga oversees FortisCor’s performance, strategy, and operations.
STEPHEN KWANG

Technical director
Stephen started his loss adjusting career in 1979 and has more than 40 years of experience. In 1992, Stephen co-founded Insight Adjusters & Surveyors Pte Ltd which grew to become the largest loss adjusting practice in Singapore. He was instrumental in the tremendous success of the firm and an ardent advocate of sterling loss adjusting service to clients. Over the decades, Stephen has handled and supervised numerous high profile large and complex losses in Singapore and abroad. He is experienced in handling claims across all classes of insurance, primarily focusing on property and casualty losses, and is a foremost specialist in business interruption claims. Stephen’s focus is to uphold FortisCor’s technical expertise, ensure high-quality service to our clients and drive continued growth.

Lim started his Loss Adjusting career in 1998 with an international loss adjusting firm. He is highly experienced in handling Property and Casualty claims across almost all industries and has worked on large and complex losses throughout the ASEAN region. Lim’s forte is in handling large industrial fire claims, NatCat losses, fidelity guarantee and jeweller’s block claims. Lim’s eminent Loss Adjusting career is complemented by his Broking experience having spent 5 years as Vice President of Claims Practice with Marsh & McLennan. Having been a Broker, Lim understands FortisCor’s clients’ needs from a unique vantage point. Lim is highly regarded by the local insurance market for his methodical claim handling prowess, with a strong emphasis on customer centricity.
KENNY TAY

Kenny commenced his career as a Loss Adjuster in 2008 with Insight Adjusters & Surveyors Pte Ltd. Throughout his career, Kenny has handled numerous major and complex losses, including many complex engineering claims. Kenny is an Engineer by training, and primarily focuses on construction and engineering losses. He is also highly experienced in handling machinery breakdown and equipment claims as well as the full range of other property and casualty losses. Another facet of Kenny’s expertise is in dealing with complex Business Interruption losses. A highly gifted adjuster, Kenny is reputed for effortlessly resolving some of the most challenging claims and achieving the desired results for our clients through his unrivalled negotiation skills. Kenny’s area of focus at FortisCor’s is the Construction & Engineering division.

Alan began his Loss Adjusting career in 2007 with an international loss adjusting firm in Malaysia. In 2010, he moved to Singapore to join Insight Adjusters & Surveyors Pte Ltd and was eventually promoted to the position of Associate Director. Throughout his 14-year career, Alan has handled many large and complex Property, Engineering, Liability and Casualty claims in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Myanmar. Alan has an impressive track record, handling numerous claims for multinational conglomerates, real estate & investment trusts and government entities. Many of FortisCor’s clients look to Alan when they need a safe pair of hands to manage their valued accounts. Alan is highly regarded for his expeditious and meticulous claims handling qualities.

Kent started his career as a Loss Adjuster in Malaysia in 2010. He joined Insight Adjusters & Surveyors Pte Ltd in 2014. Known for his versatility, Kent handles all types of Property and Casualty claims. Kent’s area of expertise includes Fire, Liability, Workman Injury Compensation, Business Interruption, Burglary, Fidelity Guarantee, Construction and Engineering. Kent’s work is marked by his speed and sharp sense to quickly identify and address key issues with a claim. The sheer volume of claims that Kent handles, coupled with the quick turnaround time is exceptional and a testament of his skill. Kent also monitors the compliance of service-level agreements at FortisCor.

Ee Win started his Loss Adjusting career in 2010 with an international loss adjusting firm. He is highly experienced in handling Property, Casualty and Financial Lines claims across almost all industries and has worked on numerous large and complex losses in Singapore and the region. Ee Win spent about 6 years as the Assistant Vice President of Claims Practice with Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Marsh & McLennan. Ee Win is widely regarded for his excellent skills in managing the claims for various large multinational conglomerates, particularly in the real estate investment trusts and high-tech industries. Ee Win is also responsible for business development with a special focus on enhancing client experience.
DEVENDRAN MURUGASU
MANAGER – WICA INVESTIGATION UNIT
Devendran @ Dev started his career in loss adjusting in 2013. Dev is experienced in handling all classes of Casualty claim, specialising in investigating large and complex Work Injury Compensation (WIC) claims. He heads a team of investigators who have over the years handled numerous WIC claims including complex matters involving occupational diseases, medical related claims (heart attack, stroke, etc.), and other accidental cases. Dev and his team have uncovered many fraud cases which prevented Insurers from making substantial claim payments.
ANITA QUEK

Anita started her career as a claims professional with Insight Group of Companies in 2013, and is experienced in handling Work Injury Compensation (WIC), motor liability (TPBI & TPPD) and other category of casualty claims. In her previous role, Anita headed the TPA division in an international loss adjusting company and was instrumental in spearheading the TPA for WICA claims after the Ministry of Manpower implemented various changes to ‘WICA 2019’ especially the claims handling by Insurers. Anita also supervised the handling of liability claims for a large statutory board in Singapore as well as travel and personal accident claims.

Celine has more than seven years of experience in the claims industry. She started her career with AIG (American International Group) before joining Chubb and was also attached with Marsh & McLennan. Celine is experienced in diverse portfolios e.g., Property & Casualty, WICA, Motor, etc. and served the Hong Kong and Singapore markets. With FortisCor, Celine heads our Travel Division as well as other Property and Casualty classes. Celine presently leads a large team of TPA Claims Handlers.
